Starting Your Computer
When the computer powers up, you will
see the following screen which is referred to as your “Desktop”

Icons
on the desktop represent the software applications loaded on your
computer. For example, to use the word processing software,
double click the icon for OpenOffice Writer. Once your Internet connection is installed, you will be able to
access SuccessMaker and Internet Explorer by double clicking those
icons. |
When you are finished using
your computer, turn it off by clicking START ? TURN OFF COMPUTER?
TURN
OFF. Do not turn off the
computer using the power on button, unless instructed to do so by Help/Support.
It is recommended that you not leave the computer on overnight or while
you are at school, unless someone else will be using it. You
will learn about additional software applications and features of
your computer in class
